A phrase is hidden somewhere in the grid of letters. Find every letter of it to win.
Here's everything you'll see once a puzzle loads:
This example shows the phrase "Chase Tail" mid-solve: CHASE and TAIL cross and share their A, the same way real puzzles let words overlap. Notice the stray A in the bottom-right corner - it's just a decoy that happens to share a letter with the real answer.
Tap any letter A-Z below the grid. Every spot that letter appears on the board lights up.
Once a letter is revealed on the grid, tap the actual spots that spell out the phrase.
A tap only turns wrong-colored if that exact cell isn't part of the answer - the same letter can show up elsewhere on the board without being part of the phrase.
Words aren't always straight across or straight down - some run diagonally through the grid, corner to corner. Keep an eye out for a line of revealed letters running at an angle, and tap it the same way you would any other word.
Here, "ZIG" runs from the top-left corner down to the bottom-right. Diagonal words can run either direction - top-left to bottom-right, or top-right to bottom-left.
Reveal and correctly tap every letter of the hidden phrase to win - the board turns fully green.
Solving the puzzle brings up a celebration screen with your score - tap SHARE to challenge a friend to beat it. On most phones this opens your phone's normal share menu; on a computer it copies a challenge message to your clipboard instead.
Want to look at your solved board again first? Tap "Back to Board" on the celebration screen - the HINT key turns into a SHARE key so you can jump straight back whenever you're ready.
Lower score is better. You get a point for every wrong pick - a letter that isn't in the phrase, or the right letter in the wrong spot - and a point for every hint you use.
